A controversial Order Hall research bonus, due to be added to the game in patch 7.2, has been changed. Originally, this bonus enabled relics to roll a random second trait. However, players on the PTR argued that this added another layer of randomness to the loot system, and was too much of a power spike for alts to compete with against mains. Instead, players will be able to unlock the ability to double the AP gains from World Quests. The second trait bonus is likely to make a comeback later in Legion, however. CM Lore posted Blizzard’s reasoning on the matter on both the US and EU forums:
Today, we have a quick tour of the hunter Class Hall, Trueshot Lodge. Located high on Talon Peak in Highmountain, the Lodge has been the center of the Unseen Path faction for thousands of years. It has a rich history of elven and tauren lore, and boasts several returning characters and factions.
Today, we have a quick tour of the warlock Class Hall, Dreadscar Rift. Located on a Legion portal world, securing the Rift is a huge boon in the fight against the Burning Legion. Dreadscar Rift brings with it the support of the Dreadscar demon hordes, although it seems that over the course of the warlock questing experience other allies will join the fight. You will also have to gather the Council of the Black Harvest together again after near defeat against the pit lord Jagganoth. For at least Ritssyn Flamescowl, this means resurrection. He, along with the others, will become some of your new followers for the expansion, working alongside you out on world quests and exploring warlock lore. Below, you’ll find previews of both the hall and some of the questing experience to open it. For more on Class Halls, see our previous coverage and the BlizzCon Class Hall presentation. Also, you may
Today, we have a quick tour of the druid Class Hall, the Dreamgrove. Located in the verdant forests of Val'sharah, the Dreamgrove is a unique place where the barrier between the mortal realm and the Emerald Dream is thin. From here, portals into the Dreamway allow druids to travel quickly across Azeroth.
Today, we have a quick tour of the Shaman Class Hall, the Heart of Azeroth. Located on the precipice of the Maelstrom, the Heart of Azeroth is a vital nexus of elemental energy. To open the Class Hall, players must fend off a Burning Legion invasion and chase after a stolen Doomhammer. We’ll look at unlocking the Shaman Class Hall, as well as obtaining its Artifacts, in a future post. Shaman Class Hall Preview Screenshots For more on Class Halls, see our previous coverage.
Today, we have a quick tour of the Mage Class Hall, Hall of the Guardian. To open the Class Hall, players must first do a little dirty work for Meryl Felstorm, previously Winterstorm, who was one of the founders of the Council of Tirisfal many years ago. Opening the Hall of the Guardian Felstorm is on the tracks of a dreadlord named Kathra’natir, who is hellbent on obtaining the Forge of the Guardian, recently secured in the Violet Hold right in Dalaran. The Forge is used to transfer the power of each preceding Guardian of Tirisfal into the latest one, which would make it quite the boon for the Burning Legion. After securing the Forge, Felstorm and the ghost of Alodi take players high into the Hall of the Guardian, one of the spires overlooking Dalaran. The tower still has its protective spells in place, making it a suitable place to
In our continuing recap of World of Warcraft: Legion at BlizzCon 2015, we look at lead quest designer Craig Amai’s presentation on Class Halls. Also known as Order Halls, Class Halls provide a space for all members of one class of both factions to meet together, to plot out your adventures in the Broken Isles, to upgrade and customize your Artifacts, and much more.
