Blood Elf Heritage Armor Questline, WoW 8.1 PTR

by - 5 years ago

Blood Elves will be able to unlock their heritage armor in just a month. To unlock their heritage armor, players need to have one max-level Blood Elf, exalted reputation with Silvermoon City, and complete a quest chain. Unlike previous Allied Race heritage armor sets, players will not need to re-level a fresh character to unlock the armor for transmog. The Blood Elf heritage armor has a robe version as well as a tunic, and both are plated in 3D elements with high-res textures.

Vanilla Dwarves are also receiving their heritage armor in 8.1. Read about it in our BlizzCon recap or in our patch 8.1 preview posts.

To unlock the heritage armor, Blood Elf players must immerse themselves in Silvermoon’s tragic history, covering many lore topics from over the years in a single questline. It also includes the recently released Warbringers: Sylvanas animated short during the questing experience. Players must take an ancient lamp to several important locations throughout Quel’thalas, lighting braziers that begin ghostly events, including:

  • The treacherous betrayal at the south gate
  • Arthas and the Scourge pushing up the newly-created Dead Scar
  • Sylvanas’ actions as Ranger General to rebuke the Scourge assault, her fall on the battlefield, and her resurrection and enslavement as the Banshee Queen by Arthas
  • Anasterian’s ill-fated duel against the Lich King with Felo’melorn
  • The corruption and destruction of the Sunwell
  • Appearances by Lor’themar Theron, Kael’thas Sunstrider, Halduron Brightwing, and many others
