Battle for Azeroth Live Q&A

by - 6 years ago

There was live QA panel hosted at Blizzcon with the topic of the newly announced expansion Battle for Azeroth. We here at Blizzpro checked it out and have highlighted some of the more interesting questions and answers below.

When asked if Warfronts were available all the time or on an even basis the panel responded that there would be uptime and downtime on Warfronts.

There will be another stat squish like in the Warlords expansion but this time around they will also be squishing the item levels. The way that heirloom gear will be impacted is still be discussed.

They commented on the way the Heart of Azeroth will level up and the reasons for it being different from the current artifact system. The way the Azerite levels the Heart of Azeroth will allow for a base number they can control as opposed to scaling up to the millions and trillions.

There will be tweaks to the Titan Forge system but not a massive overhaul. They will likely adjust the odds and the randomness but the system will remain the same.

When asked about the archaic character creations system and if it will ever get an overhaul the panel responded by agreeing but saying they wanted finish allied classes so they had a clear picture of what they wanted to do. Posture options will be available like in the case of Orcs you can choose to make them hunched or upright. These options can be toggled for current characters at the barbershop.

The panel confirmed that the events of Battle for Azeroth won’t affect the starting areas.

They mentioned they would be pro having a time walking key that would allow you to go back and challenge old dungeons in a mythic key type fashion.

They confirmed the timeline in which your characters will be able to start flying will be similar to Legion.

When asked about the legion companion app and if there would be a usage of it in the next expansion and They commented that they were really happy with the app and possibly combining the armory and legion app.

The legendary system will not be implemented into Battle for Azeroth.

When asked about the default backpack getting an increase in size they said that you will give you a reward of increased space if you have an authenticator tied to your account in a future patch.

When asked about World of Warcraft Classic they said they want to take their time and get feedback from the community to see what kind of authentic experience the player base wanted. An example of UBERS was given and if 10-man or 5-man was the correct authentic experience.

They are looking at possibly increasing the battle.net friend list but it’s a coordinated change that needs to take place across all games.

The length of Warfronts is still TBD.

Classes will be applied to Allied Races the same way that they are currently applied to the Races already in the game. Classes will make sense based on the race’s lore.

That about wraps it up for the panel and I want to thank you for coming to Blizzpro for all of your Blizzcon needs.
