WoW: Battle for Azeroth New Subraces, BlizzCon 2017

by - 6 years ago

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth brings a much-anticipated feature to improve character customization: subraces (or Allied Races)! At launch, 6 subraces will be added, 3 for each faction, although there will probably be more in later patches or content after this groundwork has been laid.

Players unlock the ability to create these new subraces by questing with them, starting at level 20 and all the way to max level (120), to cement their place in your faction by journeying to your faction’s capital. After that, new characters of each subrace can be made across your entire account, and you will unlock Heritage Armor to replicate their armor looks on current characters as transmog.

Subraces will also get their own passives and racials to help them fit in line with current race options.

The new races come with many of their own customization options, like new beards for the Dark Iron, and new hair styles.

Alliance

The Alliance will unlock Void Elves, Dark Iron Dwarves, and Lightforged Draenei.

Horde

The Horde will unlock Nightborne ElvesHighmountain Tauren, and Zandalari Trolls. It also looks by some screenshots from elsewhere in the panel that straight-backed orcs might be a possibility, but that wasn’t specified yet.

That wraps up the BlizzCon preview of the new subraces for Battle for Azeroth, the latest World of Warcraft expansion. Stay tuned for many more articles!
