It appears that Amazon has let the feral Druid out of the bag, revealing that Christie Golden is writing a new tie-in novel to wrap up Legion and move the story forward into the anticipated 8.0 expansion, expected to be revealed at BlizzCon 2017.

The newest novel, Before the Storm, is set to be released May 15, 2018. We don’t have any information on the contents of the novel (yet), but the Amazon description states:

“Taking place after the climactic events of Shadows of Argus, World of Warcraft: Before the Storm tells the story of what awaits the heroes of the Horde and the Alliance in the wake of their struggle against the demonic Burning Legion.”

Golden confirmed the authenticity of the listing, tweeting a link to the novel and stating that we’ll know more at Blizzard’s upcoming convention in Southern California.
