by - 7 years ago

Today Blizzard announced that sales of the Mischief in-game companion pet and gear store plush reached over 2.5 million for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This is the first year a physical item was part of the December promotion. Last year offered Brightpaw which raised 1.7 Million for Make-A-Wish and brings up the total donated to the Foundation over 7.1 million dollars. Mischief surpasses the previous fundraising record held by the Cinder Kitten for relief effort from Superstorm Sandy in 2012 which raised 2.3 million dollars.

Previous charity and relief efforts include:

2015: Brightpaw – $1,700,000 – Make-a-Wish

2014: Argi – $1,900,000 – American Red Cross/Ebola

2013: Alterac Brew Pup – $1,000,000 – Make-a-Wish

2012: Cinder Kitten: $2,300,000 – Superstorm Sandy

2010: Moonkin Hatchling: $800,000 – Make-a-Wish
