7.2 World Content Recap: Flying and Class Mounts, Broken Shore, Legion Assaults

by - 7 years ago

In this first chunk of the massive content reveal for 7.2, we look at flying and class mounts, our return to the Broken Shore and all the world content that entails, and updates to the greater Broken Isles World Quests.

Take Wing with Flying, Class Mounts

In 7.2, players can look forward to the final part of the Broken Isles Pathfinder achievement meta. It will require all of the previous part’s achievements, plus exploring and finishing the majority of 7.2 content. Like the Draenor equivalent, it will unlock Broken Isles flying across all characters on an account.

7.2 will also feature a unique mount for each class. These seem to be unlocked by finishing your class’s order hall campaign, all of which can fly:

Return to the Broken Shore

In 7.2, players will return to the site of the Alliance and Horde’s great loss in the face of the Legion, the Broken Shore. The area is a complete zone with World Quests, a raid (coming up in a separate post), and, special to the area, the Legionfall Campaign.

The Legionfall Campaign brings together NPC’s from all of the order halls in an attempt to establish a foothold against the Legion and the Tomb of Sargeras. Three buildings serve as markers of your success.

These three buildings must be unlocked by players by contributing to the realm’s meter on each building. They include the Nether Disruptor, Command Center, and Mage Tower.

These Elven structures unlock special bonuses for the zone for players, including class-specific quests, world bosses, World Quests, treasures, and more.

Legion Assaults in Broken Isles, World Quests

The Burning Legion begins its all-out assault on the Broken Isles proper as they stream through the portals unleashed by the Tomb of Sargeras. Legion incursions in the style of the pre-launch event occur in the major Broken Isles zones

  • A zone affected by the Legion invasion will temporarily disable the regular World Quests and replace them with Legion-related ones
  • These World Quests will still give credit for the Emissary Quest for that region
  • Complete some and you will unlock an attack on a Commander of the Legion
  • Kill the Commander and you can enter a 3-man scenario on the Legion Construct ship floating above the zone
  • Finish the scenario for powerful rewards
