Beta Launch Test

If you’re a player who enjoys being able to jump into the newest expansion the second it launches and you’re also in the Legion Beta Test, the Warcraft development team has the opportunity for you!
On Thursday July 7th at 11:00am PDT the Beta test realms will be taken down for a brief maintenance period and come up again at 3:00pm PDT. When the realms come back up only Warlords of Draenor content will be available and any characters above level 100 will be locked.
The reason for this is to test the live launch experience for Legion. Once enough players have logged into the test realms server messages will begin a countdown until the Legion content is “live” and accessible on the realms again. Once the countdown completes the expansion will launch and players should automatically be prompted with new quests to begin the Legion experience, playing through to the class Order Hall opening quests. This will give the developers useful information about the launch to make it go more smoothly than it did for previous expansions.
There is a thread for specific feedback and in-game bug reports will also be used to take in information to provide the best experience possible on August 30th.
Tomorrow, July 7, we’re going to test launching Legion with the Legion Beta, and we’d appreciate your help.
At about 11:00 a.m. PDT on July 7, we’ll take the Beta down for a few hours to prepare. Then, at 3:00 p.m. PDT, we’ll bring the Beta up for testers to log in. During this time, you will only have access to Warlords of Draenor content, and any of your characters above level 100 will temporarily be unable to login. Once enough players have logged in, we will begin broadcasting server messages to indicate that Legion is about to go “live”.
As the expansion “launches”, you will be automatically prompted with new quests to start your adventures in Legion. Please follow them through to conclusion, and play through your class Order Hall opening quests. This will give us a useful look at our live launch.
We need your help identifying issues, and we’ll be looking for your feedback on the test launch in this thread and via in-game bug reports.
