Exploring Draenor: Zeter’el

by - 8 years ago

Exploring Draenor delves into the hidden places of the world that will one day become Outland. From the volcanic landscape of Frostfire to the gloomy dells of Shadowmoon, these articles are your guide to events that are off the beaten path.

Location: The Blighted Hollow, Tanaan Jungle

Reward: Felfire Lit Greatsword

Most demons in Tanaan Jungle can be found in one of two places: the Temple of Sha’naar or the Throne of Kil’jaeden. Of the two, the Throne is by far the more difficult area, closely packed with elite demons and patrols. If you want a break from the madness, though, you can venture down the mountain and into a cave known as the Blighted Hollow.

Blighted Hollow entrance

To reach the Hollow, climb (or descend) halfway up (or down) the Throne, until you reach the river of flowing green sludge. Cross it and continue heading west, following the path (you can pick up a Fel Flame on the way), which ends at a cave: the Blighted Hollow.

At the back of this cave you will find Zeter’el, the demonic equivalent of the guy who always ends up in the kitchen at a party. Stuck in cave far from anywhere, this entity isn’t so much bringing doom as avoiding work.

Zeter'el

Clear your way through some uninspiring non-elites and engage the demon. He will put up his defences first, in the form of Felflame Shield, and then proceed to literally burn you down with Fel Blast (an unholy hybrid of Warlock and Mage spells) and Fel Sear. As long as you can stay away from his front, or interrupt the high-damage Sear, you’ll quickly take down this demonic loner.

Fel Sear

Having a pet tank the AoE Fel Sear trivialises the ability.
