WoW Token Price Update

by - 9 years ago

For those of you who aren’t following the in-game gold price of the WoW token since its release yesterday, after a brief rise from the initial price of 30,000 gold the cost has plummeted to an estimated price (as of the time this article was written) of 22,860 gold with an estimated turnaround time of 30 minutes. Based on the recent trending, it appears the price will continue to fall.

The folks over at The Undermine Journal have created a new website which allows us to track the current estimated in-game price of the token, along with the turnaround time on those sales. The site can be found at https://wowtoken.info and appears to update hourly.

They’ve also got a new Twitter account for those who are so inclined and can be found under @WoWTokens. This account will send a tweet every time the price on their site updates (but not more than once an hour) so you can watch for the best time to sell your token.

The website and Twitter accounts are both using information Blizzard has made available through their API so while it is data based on information available from the company, they are only allowed to pull it periodically rather than 24/7 live updating.

We’ll continue to follow pricing on the token to see if the price stabilizes but for now it’s not looking too good.

Have you purchased a token (from the store for cash or for in-game gold) yet? How much did you pay and do you feel like you got your money’s worth?
