Hallow’s End is Here – And It Has Been Updated

“So eager you are, for my blood to spill. Yet to vanquish me, ’tis my head you must kill!”
It’s the most magical time of the year and Hallow’s End is yet again upon us! Wait. I think I might confuse the terminology slightly, but nevertheless, Hallow’s End is my favourite in-game holiday event, and this year it’s extra special as it’s the first holiday to be updated in two years. That’s right, not only has the gear been upgraded to item level 540 (up from 470), but there are also new vanity items and companion pets to be obtained. And then there is of course the highly coveted reins for the headless horseman’s mount; a mount that still to this day eludes some players.
In addition to the three already existing pets (Sinister Squashling, Feline Familiar, and Creepy Crate) there are two new pets are available: Cursed Birman and Widget the Departed.
There are also several disguises for the Perky Pug: “Mad Alchemist” Costume, “Lil’ Starlet” Costume, “Yipp-Saron” Costume.
If you are leveling a new character or intend to farm reputation don’t forget that interacting with the bonfires outside of Stormwind and Undercity grants you a two hour long buff (Unburdened and Grim Visage) to experience and reputation gains.
So hurry up to the nearest inn and grab a handful of treats from the candy bucket; that Chewy Fel Taffy sure is tough — I think I lost a tooth! (And oh, don’t forget to pick a costume to wear: Exquisite Costume Set: “The Lich King”.)
Hallow’s End will be available October, 18 – November, 1. For more information read the official blog from Blizzard or check out Wowhead’s excellent coverage.
