Mists of Pandaria Price Drops to $9.99, May Be Free

by - 10 years ago

With the release date for Warlords of Draenor now known, Blizzard has started to lay the groundwork for folks to come back to the game after what may be a long absence. As such, they’ve quietly dropped the price on Mists of Pandaria down to $9.99.

However, there’s also a bunch of reports that some lapsed accounts are getting upgraded to MoP for free. As a way to entice players to pick up the sub again, and with all of the previous expansions already rolled into the baseline WoW package, it might be enough to compel people to buy Warlords when it releases.

So if someone is thinking of coming back to the game, definitely advise them to check their email and spam filters first to see if they’ve got it for free. Oh, and make sure that if you have to buy the game, get Mists digitally from Blizzard instead of buying a boxed copy. No point in paying Gamestop more than you have to.
