Raid Release Schedule Revealed

by - 10 years ago

According to a second Vanion.eu interview with Game Director Tom “@thekalgan” Chilton, here’s what we can expect for the raid release schedule in Warlords of Draenor.

November 13th: Release date for the expansion, all raids are locked.

December 2nd (3rd EU): Normal and Heroic Highmaul. Recall that in WoD, Normal and Heroic raids will be able to flex from 10-30 players. In terms of difficulty, WoD Normal aligns with MoP Flex, while WoD Heroic aligns with MoP Normal. It sounds a lot more confusing than it actually is.

December 9th (10th EU): Mythic and LFR Highmaul will open up. Recall that Mythic is a fixed 20-man raid size meant for hardcore raiding teams, while LFR is 25 matchmade players in a low-difficulty version of the raid with exclusive gear.

The second Tier 17 raid, Blackrock Foundry, will then open up several weeks later. Given the impending Christmas/New Years holidays at the end of December, it’s conceivable that “several weeks” could mean either December 23rd or January 6th, and frankly I’ll put money on the latter date.
