Mages Rejoice! New Portal Graphics Appear in WoD Beta

An addition was made to the WoD beta with the latest beta patch, which didn’t make it into the patch notes: new portal graphics! Like the new character models they are much the same to their appearance on the live servers, but different enough to be noticeable.

A thick, glowing blue border now surrounds each portal (the same for both Alliance and Horde), making them look significantly more substantial. The city image in the centre is also more clearly defined.

As an added bonus, the portal to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms has its own appearance, no longer sharing a graphic with Shattrath! Just in time for us to leave it behind forever…
