Blizzard has released more details on the upcoming Patch 6.0 pre-patch that will lay in the groundwork for Warlords of Draenor. Specifically, players will be able to preview the new raid structures during Siege of Orgrimmar.

Siege of Orgrimmar’s difficulties will convert over to the new Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties. Normal and Heroic will both be flexible sizes whereas Mythic will be locked into 20-players. No word on whether the previous raid tiers will be given this treatment. In addition, the stat squish effect will be active along with the class changes.

Several rewards will be going away soon so this will be your chance to acquire them. Once Patch 6.0 hits:

• Flex raiding will be removed from the queue interface and will be replaced with the new Normal difficulty.
• Group Finder tool will be available to assist players in creating and finding groups for cross-realm content.
• Siege of Orgrimmar achievements will be relabeled. The achievements can be earned retroactively for players who have done so prior to the patch.
• Ahead of the Curve and Cutting Edge Feats of Strength will no longer be obtainable. This also means that the Kor’kron War Wolf will no longer be awarded after the patch.
• Heirloom weapons from Garrosh Hellscream on Normal, Heroic, and Mythic will be significantly increased. Anyone who hasn’t yet earned an Heirloom will have a 100% chance of getting a spec-appropriate Heirloom when defeating Garrosh on Normal or higher. Chances of receiving additional Heirlooms after the first will increase.

When the actual Warlords of Draenor expansion is released and players start heading to Draenor to level past 90:

• Garrosh Hellscream will cease dropping Heirloom weapons.
• The Kor’kron Juggernaut mount will cease being a guaranteed drop from Mythic Garrosh Hellscream, and will be a rare drop.
