The official Blizzard store is giving players a chance to pick up the adorable Cinder Kitten pet this week for 25% off!  Besides being too adorable for words, it’s also quite a formidable battle pet to add to your arsenal with its rare quality and Claw, Immolate, Leap, Prowl, Rend and Scorched Earth abilities.

Around the time of its original release in 2012, Superstorm Sandy decimated countless homes and cities in the United States, leading Blizzard to announce that any Cinder Kittens sold by the end of that year would see 100% of their proceeds going to the American Red Cross to help the victims.  The combined generosity of Blizzard and its player base resulted in a staggering $2.3 million in aid given to those whose lives had been turned upside down by the storm.  Though the charity effort window has since closed, it still represents a great chapter in World of Warcraft community history and may very well be one of the most famous battle pets in Azeroth as a result.

The $7.50 sale price (regular $10) will be honored until September 3rd.
