Thanks to the wonder of data mining we’re learning all sorts of stuff about World of Warcraft’s 5.4 patch. Sadly, a lot what’s being unearthed is fairly spoiler heavy, but there are some amusing things that should not crush the souls of those looking to be surprised when the content becomes available, however far down the road that is. It looks like the Darkmoon Faire should be featuring another creature boss as of 5.4, the Darkmoon Wolf. The Dire Wolf is being called Moonfang at present and, similar to the Darkmoon Rabbit, will drop a battle pet, this one called Moon Moon. You’ll have to best the beast in battle first, however.

Those familiar with internet memes will recognize Moon Moon as the daft wolf that most people do not want in their pack. Regardless, if you’re a collector of battle pets, you will want this incarnation of Moon Moon in your pack, given how rare the wolf is sure to be. It’s also been said that Moonfang will drop a vanity item known as Moonfang’s Paw that can be used for transmogrification. Not a bad haul for a Darkmoon Faire boss.
